Version 0.3.3
It's up for grabs! And it's an important release.

You can download it here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/forums/forums0.3.3.tar.gz?download

Here is the Changes List for this release:
Code:
Better install.php

index.php now automatically detects whether the board has been properly installed or not.

It is now possible to select whether a new user's password will be sent to them via email or delivered directly.
The administrator can also select whether they wish for the user to have to enter a verification string.

Database:
Adodb and Pear::DB can be used to abstract all database access.
Note that Adodb is installed with C!D SE but you can still use Pear::DB.
When using Adodb, more features are available, such as database performance reporting.

Database, continued:
* The database doesn't contain unnecessary junk anymore.
* One category and one forum are created and are considered empty.
* A new admin password is generated for each install.
* index.php now detects whether install.php has been run or not.

The top menubar can now be setup in the ACP.

New advisories/announcements panel added to the ACP.

'Settings' menu re-organized and simplified

New color theme for the ACP

Performance monitoring tool added to the ACP.

Try it now!

-Chris.

Please do so manually. Note: I was unable to change 1/emoticons 's permissions to 777. Please do so manually. Note: I was unable to change 1/attachments 's permissions to 777. Please do so manually. the images on the portal aswell as the images on the pages for when u click the images on the portal such as here: http://yugiohextendedhosting.com/se/index.php?do=page&n=features do not show up. Let's see. * FTP Ah I guess it's Windows. Oh well these files are unimportant. The .swp file for instance shouldn't even be here as it's an image created by VI after a crash. * Images They do not come with the package, that's why! * Permissions As stated, "Please do so manually" => That's because Apache doesn't have write permission on these guys.

Alright, I did, lol. I kinda figured they werent in the package I didnt see them. On the old one I saved then uploaded the images from this forum to it. Now I have to bring over the skin I was turning into this software to the new one. I done a fresh install since there wasnt an upgrade, but no probs there since the last ppl couldnt recieve their email. this release is much nicer and a big improvement.

I've got a bit of a problem with going to install nextbbs It says "It appears that I cannot write install.lock to the install directory Please change its mode to 0755 or 0777 and try again. " Uh where is the install directory?

Oh. It's the directory where install.php is located.
