Hi,
Just downloaded  forums0.4.7 Folder
and uploaded it to my website, the newinstall window opened.
I kept clicking next and nothing happened. I picked password and user name
etc but the files didn't expland. I followed directions and expanded them on
my computer, but when I went to upload them, I noticed they had already
expanded in my root folder on my website. But I still cannot get the board to appear in the window.
Just the same new install window asking me if its a new install
or an upgrade. I keep choosing new install, but it just goes
back to the beginning again. What do I do now??
All the files are on my root folder of my website but when I click the install
wizard, I opt for new installation, supply my user name and password
choose Mysql, and then nothing happens .it just goes back to
the beginning.PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey, I can help you if you would like. I know you don't trust me or know me.  Give me a link to your site and the database and I will help you and try and find the problem.  I just recently had a similar problem and I was able to fix it.

I just saw this post.

I think the issue is with setting up my PHP tables. they aren't set up.
although php5 is installed, godaddy offers no support for it and
I don't have a clue how to do it.

came with forum 0.4.7?

6.  OpensIFRr.dmg  when I expand this it gives me an application to put in my applications folder, but I am unable to open it. What is it for? Where do I put it? Why won't it open on my computer?

Ok, well I should be able to answer a few questions for you.

2. The add-ons you should just be able to put the newest version in and call it good.  Especially with skins.  They usually just require a little manuvering to get to work.  Most other boards are like that.  Not sure...Seeing as my NextBBS stil has running bugs.

3. The skins you usually have to put in a designated area the enitre folder.  Not sure what it is here on NextBBS, but I did find a folder that had skins as its name in the FCKEditor.  If you read the admin manual and it says otherwise for a different place than just put it there.  Then you usually have to go into the admin control panel and find the skins area and it should reconginze that you have a skin and ask you if you want to make it avaiable for running.
