Version 0.5.3, Ubuntu & Firefox.
Installation went OK, but there are a few glitches:
When I try to upload image with "Edit/Insert Image" in Rich text Editor, in "Image Properties"/"Browse Server" I got:
"The requested URL /nextBBS/FCKeditor/editor/filemanager/browser/default/browser.html was not found on this server."
in new window.
If I upload image and press "Send it to server", link to image is demanded in first tab of that dialog, and then there is a same problem. If I just make up linkname, empty image placeholder is displayed.
Managing attachment does not work, images are uploaded, but "Insert" or "Thumbnail" does nothing.
Code buttons does not transfer visible codes, is there any way to see "source" of Rict-text input.
Also, all formatting is lost after submitting and then re-editing posts (even at this forum).
Any solutions for this problems?
 
P.S.
Neither php nor smtp e-mail are working for me. I registered here without receiving any notification in mail. Maybe reason for that are some additional PHP libraries that are not installed on my Ubuntu server?
Right now, without image uploading, with lost formatting and no e-mail notifications, this software is pretty unusable for me.

Indeed, there is something wrong with the browse server button...
You can upload the image manually and then use the BB-code buttons (or manually type .

I alsoo noticed before that re-editing the message scr*ws up the formatting used with the FCK editor. I hope that Chris finds any time to take a look to it

This is a really stupid mistake that I only found about last week. You should not be offered to browse the server nor upload from that dialog. It is supposed to happen through Attachments.

"Insert" does not work in rich-text mode nor in standard mode?

FYI, I am considering dropping FCKeditor and moving to a more forum-friendly editor. FCKeditor is too complex to maintain; its lack of modularity forces me to work directly in its code base.

Attachments:
In Firefox, nothing happens when I push "Insert" in "Manage Attachments" dialogue. In IExplorer 7, I get "Error on page." at the bottom of dialogue.
Lost formatting:
Just like that. I format something in editor, eg. "Bold", then I do "Submit", then "Edit", and "Bold" is gone. Same happened on this board.
Image upload:
OK if it should work only through attachments, one way is enough.
Mail:
Maybe this and other problems are connected with my server setup. I noticed that default Ubuntu install did not have php5-gd lib for images, maybe I am missing something like that for mail, too?
