You can easily place a banner, ad, or a message on the header. But that's not all it does; you can say, create multiple ads to rotate on the main page. You can create a completely different set to rotate on one specific forum. You can also create another set to display on the "topic" page. You also have the option to completely hide those ads from specific usergroups.
This hack will even work on custom script you've created.
Here are the screenshots of my "Banner & Ad System".
This gives you an overview of what you got
The form for adding a new banner
The form for editng a banner
When you click "Show Groups" beside "Banner Permissions" a window pops up telling the different usergroups.

Let's hang on to Harmor, it's not everyday that you find people who walk the walk, not just talk the talk.
You repped me and made the comment "what about sub-banners?"
Can you explain sub-banners a bit more?

So did you get this hack installed Jasper? If so do you like it? Do you think it's easy to understand or takes a small learning curve?

Well I meant the interface of the administrator file.
If you can create a new file in the admin directory you can copy the contents of "bannersystem.php" and paste it into the new file.

In the future I'll edit the Admin CP --> Manage Area --> Add / Edit page so there'll be a collapsible box for adding a banner to the a forum.
This will make it easier for someone to add say, a google ad to a forum. I may even have the option copy the ad to multiple forums but one step at a time.
